Kaplan MAT 2009 2010 Edition
>> very readable typesetting
I also purchased
Barron s How to Prepare for the MAT Miller Analogies Test 9th Edition
MAT w/ CD ROM REA The Best Test Preparation for the Miller Analogy Test 5th Edition Test Preps
I used all three to get a feel for them and focused primarily on Kaplan My reasons
1 The introduction suggests thinking of the test as a fun game rather than a deadly serious performance A small but warming detail
2 This book had around 200 pages of review material more than Barron s less than REA Amount seemed appropriate
3 This book was by far the EASIEST TO READ due to the font selected I feel strongly that this is a supportive factor for the rather tedious task of absorbing lists of facts
I feel confident that the material review and taking a few of the practice tests did increase my score For what it s worth I scored in the 99th percentile which is typical for me on this type of test However my last test like this was 25 years ago
>> Helpful even at the last minute
This book would be very beneficial if you had time to study all of the study lists in the books I looked at it a few times and only days before the test and I found it helpful I noticed some questions on the MATs that I knew because I looked at the book It also provided me with information about how the questions are set up I would not have known this otherwise I would suggest it
>> Excellent help
I haven t taken the exam yet so I shouldn t review the book just yet I am starting on it this year and intend on taking it this semester or at least give myself some time in fall Wish me luck
